Mother Nature deals us a blow while bniester takes advantage to claim top spot!
Sunday's race was looking pretty good with about 30 laps remaining. Tony Stewart leading the pack with Jimmie Johnson bearing down on him for the win. That had 11 teams in ScarmanRacing sitting on the edge of their seats, hoping for an elusive win.
Next thing you know, Dale Jr and Jamie McMurray are spinning around at the entrance to pit row and the world turned upside down. Suddenly, 8 to 10 cars are playing the fuel mileage game and Stewart is back in 14th place. That's about the time Mother Nature decided to show up and put the final nail in our coffins. All those good scores went up in smoke with Kurt Busch, Michael Waltrip and JJ Yeley taking the top three spots in the finishing order. Michael Waltrip??
When I put the calculator down Sunday evening the results weren't pretty. Well at least two teams in ScarmanRacing were able to break 60 points; Skibum with 50 and bniester with 52. The rest of us combined to push the weekly average score up to 73 points (3rd highest of the season). YankeeFreak99 got a taste of the darkside totaling up a nice round 100 points.
With the scores so bad we didn't see a lot of movement in the standings this week, however, I'll note that bniester used that 52 point score to take over the top spot.

MOVERS:
Killem_All(8th) slipped up 5 positions

17 races into the season, only 9 left until the Chase. The top 27 teams will make The Chase for the Championship. However, if your team happens to finish the 26th race lower than 27th but has selected at least 5 winning drivers up to that point in the season...you'll be qualified for The Chase to the Championship.
All teams qualified to date:
1. YankeeFreak99
The question I asked last week -- Will Jack Roush with his Fenway connection sweep the race? His five cars ended up 17, 18, 21, 40 and 41st. Wow!
Off to the beach and the train wreck commonly known as Daytona this Saturday night. Lord knows what the outcome will be down there....just try to get lucky and avoid The Big One!
Bets of Luck,
The Race Coordinator.
